An off the clock sheriff’s analyst was struck and slaughtered by a vehicle after she helped an older lady go across a road in Los Angeles, specialists said.
The mishap happened Sunday in the Valley Village neighborhood as Detective Amber Leist was getting back to her vehicle in the wake of helping the lady, as indicated by Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva.
Leist, 41, kicked the bucket at a medical clinic, Villanueva said.
“She was an exceptional criminal investigator,” he said at a public interview. “She would show others how its done through her thoughtful gesture.”
Leist, a 12-year veteran of the division, was doled out toward the West Hollywood station. She is made due by her folks and two children.
Leist was at a red light standing by to make a left turn when she saw the older lady tumble to the ground, Villanueva said. She left her vehicle and raced to help the lady go across the road. On her way back, Leist was struck by a vehicle, he said.
